Deleting your account
You can delete your Wishbox account and everything in it from inside the app. Here is exactly what happens.
From the app
- Open Wishbox and sign in.
- Go to the You tab, then Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap “Delete account”.
- Confirm. You are signed out immediately and the deletion runs straight away.
If you cannot sign in
Email support@wishbox.world from the address on the account and we will delete it for you. We may ask you to confirm from that address before we act, because a deletion request is the one thing we cannot undo if it turns out not to be you.
What is deleted
- Your profile: name, username, bio and photo.
- Every list you own, and every item on it.
- Reservations you made on other people’s lists.
- Who you follow and who follows you.
- Cover photos and item images you uploaded.
What is kept, and for how long
Records we are required to keep for accounting — the fact that a purchase happened, its amount and date — are retained for as long as tax law requires, without your name attached. Backups are rotated out within 30 days, after which nothing remains.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it first in Google Play or the App Store, whichever you bought it through, or it will keep renewing.
